Marlton Field House Basketball League Rules
Level: Men's Open Division (18+)
All teams must abide by the rules at all times.
Fouls:
· All fouls will be determined at the referees’ discretion.
· All player complaints in regards to fouls/ref calls MUST COME FROM THE TEAM CAPTAIN ALONE.
· Team Fouls:
o Team fouls counts will reset at half.
o Once 7 team fouls are reached, opponents shoot 1 and 1.
o Once 10 team fouls are reached, opponents shoot 2 foul shots.
· Individual Player Fouls:
o Individual players fouls DO NOT reset at half.
o Each player will foul out with 5 individual fouls.
o Each individual player foul counts toward team fouls.
Game Play:
· Time Outs:
o Each team receives 2 time outs per half
· Clock:
o Games are played with a running clock.
o Clock stops in last 10 seconds of 1st half, and last 2 minutes of 2nd half.
o In the case of serious injury, the clock will also be stopped.
· Substitutions:
o Player substitutions can take place at any dead ball situation.
§ This includes out-of-bounds, time outs, during foul shots
o Check in at score table for substitutions
· Overtime:
o Overtime only exists for playoff games.
o We will run 5-minute periods until a winner is determined.
o ALL fouls carry into overtime play.
o Game play starts with jump ball.
o Each team will receive one timeout per overtime period.
o Running clock with stoppage during last 30 seconds of overtime play.
